Description of changes:
What: Adds a short “Historical context & common assumptions” box to §12.4 (SGD),
covering Robbins–Monro step-size conditions and the bounded-variance assumption.
Adds two references to
d2l.bib(Robbins–Monro 1951; Bottou–Curtis–Nocedal 2018).Why: Connects the unbiased SGD update to classical stochastic approximation and
clarifies standard assumptions used in modern analyses.
