NES returning scrambled/garbled suggestions

I used to use NES a lot, but lately it's been returning garbled suggestions, and I have no idea why.

For example:

This was the starting point:

    public static @NonNull String trimOrDefault(@Nullable String s, @NonNull String defaultValue) {
        String result = StringUtils.trimToNull(s);
        return result == null ? defaultValue: result;
    }

and this is where NES is going, after pressing tab a few times:

    public static @NonNull Stri    public static @NonNull String trimOrDefault(@Nullable String s, @NonNull String defaultValue) {? defaultValue : result;
    }

I understand this may not specifically be a problem with sidekick, but I'm not sure where else to ask. Has anybody else seen weirdness like this?

I just downgraded from v0.12.0-dev+2258-886efcb85 (nightly) to v0.11.6 (appimage) and it's working fine, now.

Edit: Nevermind, that didn't help after all.
