As documented in #1138 there is some confusion as to what the best practice guidance is for integrating with scoringutils and how that should be implemented. I think part of the issue is a lack of guidance on our part which leads other developers on their own. As can be seen in #1138 this leads to multiple different approaches.
I think as a minimum we should implemented a developer focussed vignette that oultines what we think best practice is with a few options. I think this can be done before we have clarity on #1138 but when that has been decided we will need to make sure our guidance tracks it.
