<h2 id="quantum-coherence-a-brief-explanation">Quantum Coherence: A Brief Explanation</h2>
<p>Quantum coherence is a real physical phenomenon in which a quantum system maintains a fixed phase relationship between its possible states. This allows true superposition and interference effects that have no classical equivalent.</p>
<p>When a quantum system interacts with its environment, this phase relationship is lost through decoherence. The quantum behaviour collapses into ordinary classical statistics.</p>
<h2 id="what-agdr-actually-achieves">What AgDR Actually Achieves</h2>
<p>The Atomic Kernel Inference (AKI) in AgDR v1.8 is <strong>classical computing</strong>. It uses standard CPU primitives (<code>local_irq_save</code>, <code>preempt_disable</code>, and atomic stores) to enforce one indivisible transaction at the exact inference point.</p>
<p>We do not create quantum superposition, entanglement, or true quantum coherence. The 2.8 billion decision threshold is a practical memory and throughput limit on classical hardware, not a quantum threshold.</p>

<p>Technical precision matters. AgDR is a classical system with cryptographic guarantees, not a quantum system. This clarification prevents misinterpretation of the standard's capabilities and limitations.</p>

<h2 id="the-useful-metaphor">The Useful Metaphor</h2>
<p>There is a powerful and accurate analogy worth keeping:</p>
<p>By forcing the decision, the full reasoning trace, the PPP Triplet, and the cryptographic signature to exist as one synchronized, indivisible unit, we create a form of <strong>informational coherence</strong>. The record cannot drift or leak. The decision and its proof remain perfectly locked together from the first instant.</p>
<p>Beyond that atomic window, information leakage and post-facto reconstruction become possible, the digital equivalent of decoherence. By keeping everything inside the kernel transaction, we prevent that decay.</p>
<p>This is the closest classical equivalent to preserving a protected state.</p>
<h2 id="why-this-matters-for-the-mission">Why This Matters for the Mission</h2>
<p>We did not need quantum hardware to achieve something profound. By pushing classical atomicity to its practical limit, we created the first mathematically guaranteed contemporaneous record for autonomous agents.</p>
